The Federal Government, Tuesday, said there are no plans to introduce, new taxes on telecommunications services and petroleum products.
Senior Special Assistant, Communications and Press Secretary to the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Maryann Duke, in a statement, said: “The Federal Government has noted recent media reports and public commentary suggesting that Nigeria has adopted, or plans to introduce, new taxes on telecommunications services and petroleum products following the publication of the International Monetary Fund, IMF, Article IV Consultation Report on Nigeria.
