The National Sports Commission (NSC) has approved the constitution of a six-member caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF) following the dissolution of the federation’s board by the International Judo Federation (IJF).
The commission said the decision was taken pursuant to Section 16 of the National Sports Commission Act, 2023, with the caretaker committee expected to administer the federation pending fresh elections and the inauguration of a new board.
Sheriff Hammed will chair the committee, with Ekuta Catherine Ewa, Sule Musa, Bashir Musa Bassey and Oladipupo Idowu as members. Amayo Ngozi will serve as secretary.
