The Edo State Government has formally requested the constitution of a Special Court to fast-track the hearing and determination of cases relating to cultism and kidnapping across the state, describing the move as part of efforts to strengthen criminal justice administration and tackle rising security concerns in the State.
The request, at the instance of Governor Monday Okpebholo, was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., was addressed to the Chief Judge of the State.
