Nigeria remain the most successful team in the history of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), having won the continental championship a record 10 times.
The Super Falcons claimed their latest title in 2025 after producing a remarkable comeback to defeat hosts Morocco 3-2 in the final, extending their dominance in African women’s football.
Since the tournament was first held in 1991, only three countries have lifted the WAFCON trophy: Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa.
