A People’s Redemption Party (PRP) presidential aspirant, Yakubu Kingsley, has accused opposition candidates eyeing the 2027 presidency of being intoxicated by the pursuit of power, with no developmental agenda or programme to show for it.
In a statement in Abuja, Kingsley said it “increasingly appears” that some of the gladiators are more focused on acquiring political power and removing the incumbent than on telling Nigerians what they would do differently in office.
“Removing an incumbent should not, by itself, constitute a national development agenda,” he said, insisting that Nigerians must be given a reason to vote for a new approach, not merely against a sitting president.
