When the young, smart, and energetic Mike Awoyinfa first saw the beautiful Olubukola, then a secondary schoolgirl, in his native Ijebu-jesha, there was little spark of love. But that wasn’t for long.
Years later, the man who would later become one of Nigeria’s most passionate reporters of his generation, pioneer editor of the Nigeria’s first weekend newspaper (Weekend Concord), and the founding Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Publishing Limited, would eventually take the same Bukky to the altar following a chance reunion after a church service in their hometown, Ijebu-Jesha.
