The Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority (OYRLEA) has impounded two cows found grazing openly on a public road in Ibadan, reaffirming its commitment to enforcing the state’s anti-open grazing law and environmental regulations.
The authority disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, noting that the enforcement actions were carried out on Wednesday, August 6.
According to the statement signed by the chairperson of OYRLEA, Justice Aderonke Aderemi (Rtd.), the agency’s enforcement team acted on a distress call and mobilised to Kudeti Avenue, Agbarigo Junction, where two cows were discovered grazing on the road and obstructing the free flow of traffic.
