The Diocese of Ogbaru, Anglican Communion, Anambra, has expressed serious concern over the rampant defections from one party to another by politicians, describing the trend as a threat to the country’s democracy.
The church stated this in a six-point communiqué issued at the end of the second session of the diocese’s Seventh Synod, held at Immanuel Anglican Church, Umunankwo, in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The communiqué was signed by the President of the Synod and Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Prosper Amah, and the Clerical Synod Secretary, Ven. Edozie Onwunyi.
