The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has mobilised a $250 million commitment for infrastructure investment, with pension fund operators providing $200 million and development finance institutions expected to contribute another $50 million.
The commission also disclosed plans to bring about 85 million Nigerians in the informal sector into the pension system by simplifying registration requirements for workers in the sector to just a phone number and a National Identification Number (NIN).
