The State House yesterday told the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee investigating the operations of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) that it never requested the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) to generate a budget code for the agency.
Permanent Secretary, State House, Temitope Fashedemi, represented by the Director of Administration, Abdulkadir Idris, said the Presidency neither wrote to nor received any correspondence from the OAGF regarding the creation of a budget code for the PFIPC.
Fashedemi also denied claims that the State House sought approval for the establishment of the council.
