Plateau State government, in conjunction with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, and a non-governmental organization, the Ewe Rina Africa, has successfully rescued and repatriated a young lady who was trafficked to Libya for prostitution.
The 23-year-old victim identified as Jummai Favour Garba, an Irigwe lady from Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, was reportedly trafficked to the North African country by a human trafficking syndicate and was forced into sex slavery.
