The Plateau State Police Command has commenced enforcement of vehicle registration laws and improper use of number plates across the State.
In a press statement signed by SP Alfred Alabo, Public Relations Officer of the Command, the Commissioner of Police, Bassey Ewah, said the operation is “in line with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu”.
Adding that, “It is aimed at addressing security concerns associated with unregistered vehicles, concealed, defaced, or altered number plates, unauthorized foreign registration plates, and other non-compliance that hinders vehicle identification and tracking.
