Police arrest suspected armed robbers, recover gun in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered a locally made cut-to-size Danne gun and three live cartridges during a crime prevention patrol in the Odogunyan area of the state.
The suspects were arrested by operatives of the command in collaboration with members of a local vigilante group as part of ongoing efforts to tackle crime and other criminal activities across Lagos.
The command disclosed in a statement that the suspects were intercepted while carrying a handbag during the patrol.
According to the police, they attempted to flee immediately they sighted the security team but were quickly chased and arrested.
