Police begin crackdown on improper number plates in Kwara

The Police command in Kwara has begun a statewide enforcement exercise against vehicles with improper registration number plates.
The exercise begins on Monday, targeting covered, obscured, unauthorised, defaced, altered or missing plates.
This is contained in a statement issued on Sunday in Ilorin by the command’s spokesperson, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi.
Commissioner of Police, Kwara Command, Mr Ojo Adekimi, said the action followed a directive from the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Olatunji Disu.
Adekimi said the enforcement was designed to strengthen public safety and prevent criminals from hiding their identities.
