Police Foil Possible Clash At Obi Town Hall In Calabar

The Cross River State Police Command says its timely intervention foiled a possible clash between participants at a presidential town hall meeting and supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Calabar on Wednesday.

The town hall meeting was organised by the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, at the Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar, while the APC supporters were on a rally and road walk towards the Governor’s Office.

Tension rose when both groups converged in front of the Metropolitan Hotel as supporters awaited the arrival of the NDC presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
