The Bauchi State Police Command has launched a statewide enforcement campaign against unregistered vehicles and the use of concealed or fake number plates, deploying mobile courts to ensure the swift prosecution of offenders.
The initiative, which commenced on Wednesday, follows a directive from the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and is aimed at enhancing road safety and strengthening security across the state.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, mobile courts have been stationed at the headquarters of the state’s five area commands, as well as at strategic locations within the Bauchi metropolis.
