Police Northwest Security Summit Begins In Zamfara

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has arrived in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, for the 2026 Nigeria Police Force North-West Security Summit.
The IGP arrived at the Zamfara State Government House on Wednesday in the company of senior police officers and security experts ahead of the summit.
The summit, organised by the Nigeria Police Force, is aimed at developing lasting solutions to the persistent security challenges confronting the North-West region.
The seven states in the zone — Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi and Jigawa — have continued to battle various security threats, including banditry, kidnapping and other violent crimes.
