The Nigerian Police Force (NPF), says it has put stringent measures in place to tackle the security challenges confronting Plateau.
Mr Maurice Dankwambo, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in charge of Zone 4, said this during a visit to Gov. Caleb Mutfwang on Wednesday in Jos.
Dankwambo said he was in Plateau on the directives of Mr Olatunji Disu, the Inspector General of Police, over the recent security breach in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that gunmen on Sunday attacked and killed 20 persons at Kawel community in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.
