Pope Leo has appointed two Nigerian Catholic leaders to key roles in the Vatican’s Dicastery for Evangelization, elevating Nigeria’s profile within the global Catholic Church and strengthening its representation in one of the Holy See’s most influential departments.
According to Fides News Agency, Archbishop Alfred Adewale Martins of the Archdiocese of Lagos was named a member of the Dicastery for Evangelization, the Vatican department responsible for coordinating missionary activities worldwide and supporting the establishment and growth of Catholic communities.
