Hull City’s return to the Premier League could be overshadowed by the threat of a points deduction, with the newly-promoted club reportedly needing to raise funds before the end of June to avoid breaching financial regulations.
According to the BBC, Hull have exceeded the English Football League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) threshold by around £6 million, largely due to promotion bonuses paid to players after their Championship play-off final victory over Middlesbrough.
