Every   day in Abuja, motorists set out expecting an ordinary commute. Too often, they end up driving past mangled vehicles, shattered windscreens, or lifeless bodies lying by the roadside.
The Federal Capital Territory’s newly expanded highways were built to ease congestion, improve connectivity and make journeys safer. Instead, many have become dangerous race tracks where impatient motorists drive against traffic, ignore red lights and gamble with human lives.
