Reno Omokri Hits Back At Davido After Social Media Insult

The Ambassador-designate to Mexico, Reno Omokri, has reacted sharply after popular musician David Adeleke, known as Davido, publicly insulted him on social media by calling him a local dog.
LEADERSHIP reports that the dispute began after Omokri dismissed rumours that the Mexican government had rejected his diplomatic posting. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Omokri said that his delayed resumption is due to Mexico City being heavily occupied with administrative and logistical preparations for co-hosting the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside the United States.
