House of Representatives will vote on the State Police Bill today as part of efforts to address the worsening security challenges across the country.
Deputy Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, disclosed this yesterday while addressing parliamentary reporters in Abuja on behalf of the 37 Caucus Leaders in the Green Chamber.
Kalu said the proposed constitutional amendment, seeking the establishment of state police had become imperative in view of the increasing incidents of terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other violent crimes across the country.
