Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has inspected a section of a bridge vandalised along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway at Vin-Niger in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, assuring residents that the damage did not affect the structural stability of the facility.
Sanwo-Olu conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the affected bridge pole on Saturday and confirmed that the ongoing construction work remained intact despite the incident.
According to the governor, the vandals excavated portions of the structure and removed fittings used to secure the bridge. He condemned the act, describing it as an unacceptable attack on public infrastructure.
