SDP Rules Out Rainbow Coalition, Eyes 2027 Victory

The Social Democratic Party (SDP), has ruled out joining the rainbow coalition, emphasising its commitment to fielding candidates and contesting the 2027 general elections independently. The party however said it is open to collaborating with other opposition parties of like-minds to protect the country’s democracy.
The National Chairman of the party, Professor Sadiq Umar Abubakar Gombe, stated this on Thursday in Abuja during an engagement with the party’s governorship candidates and the National Working Committee across the 36 states of the federation.
