Self-custodial Bitget Wallet was unaffected by exchange security incident- Bitget

Bitget Wallet, a self-custodial wallet, said its systems and users’ self-custodial assets were unaffected by the recent security incident involving Bitget Exchange, following precautionary security checks conducted after the event.
The incident involved parts of Bitget Exchange’s hot and warm wallet infrastructure. According to the exchange’s preliminary investigation, attackers compromised a backend system, spoofed transaction data and triggered its authorization process, while a compromise of private keys has so far been ruled out.
