Senate Banking Committee chairman bags NCRIB fellowship for insurance sector reforms

The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) has honoured the chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, Adetokunbo Abiru, with an Honorary Fellowship for his role in the passage of the Nigeria Insurance Industry Reform Act (NIIRA), 2025, and ongoing efforts to strengthen regulation and rebuild public confidence in the insurance sector.
Abiru received the honour on Wednesday at the council’s 2026 Closing Dinner of the National Insurance Conference and Exhibition held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
