SERAP urges Tinubu to probe alleged N6.79bn diversion, missing firearms in police, ministry

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on President Bola Tinubu to direct relevant authorities to investigate allegations that more than N6.79 billion in public funds were allegedly diverted, misapplied or remain unaccounted for within the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs.
The organisation urged the President to mandate the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu and the anti-corruption agencies to thoroughly investigate the allegations and ensure that those found culpable were prosecuted.
