Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk are in negotiations to play their Champions League home matches at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge this season as the war-displaced club continues its search for a stable European base.
Shakhtar have been unable to use their Donbas Arena in Donetsk since 2014, when the conflict forced the club away from their home city. They have since staged domestic matches in Kyiv and Lviv, while their European fixtures have been played at venues in Germany, Slovenia and Poland.
