Former Senator Shehu Sani has urged politicians whose names were left out of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) candidates’ lists to reconsider pursuing further legal action, warning that continued litigation could drain their resources without changing the outcome.
Sani made the appeal in a post on X on Saturday, reacting to a Supreme Court ruling that paved the way for INEC to exclude some candidates from its lists.
He advised the affected politicians to study the implications of the judgment and avoid spending more money, time and effort on cases he believes are unlikely to succeed.
