Vice President Kashim Shettima has described the late former governor of the defunct Gongola State, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, as a pillar of democracy and an iconic peace builder who contributed immensely to the development of democracy in Nigeria.
Shettima stated this in Yola when he led a high-powered federal government delegation to condole with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the people of Adamawa State over the death of the former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
