Shettima seeks Tinubu’s re-election, touts Akwanga-Maiduguri superhighway as economic game changer

Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027, arguing that his administration’s massive infrastructure investments, particularly the Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe-Biu-Maiduguri Superhighway, would transform regional economies, boost trade and reduce transportation costs.
Shettima said the proposed superhighway would strengthen economic connections between the North-Central and North-East, linking agricultural and mineral-producing communities to markets and opening up new opportunities for businesses.
