Shettima to open editors’ conference as NGE tackles election disinformation

Vice President Kashim Shettima will on Thursday declare open the 22nd All Nigeria Editors Conference (ANEC) of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) in Enugu, with more than 500 editors expected to deliberate on democracy, elections and the growing challenge of artificial intelligence-driven disinformation .
In a statement made available to the Daily Sun and signed by the NGE President, Eze Anaba, and General Secretary, Onuoha Ukeh, respectively, the Guild said the two-day conference will hold at The Dome, International Conference Centre, Opara Square Road, Enugu, from 2pm on Thursday, September 24, to Friday, September 25, 2026.
