Six students hospitalised in Ijebu-Ode over methane gas emission

A suspected methane gas emission along the Agoro/Okunowa Road axis of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on Friday, forced the emergency evacuation of students from six schools, and scores of pupils and residents sent to hospital.
The incident temporarily disrupted activities at Our Ladies Grammar School, Epe Garage; Anglican Girls Grammar School, Obalende; Titilayo Agbaje Comprehensive High School, Imosan; Ifesowapo Comprehensive High School, Imosan; St. Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Imosan, and Orphanage Primary School, Imosan.
