Sokoto: Foreign national sentenced to death for terrorism

A High Court in Sokoto has sentenced a foreign national and two other individuals to death by hanging after finding them guilty of terrorism and arms trafficking offences.
The convicts, identified as Jabbi Alhaji Yalle, a citizen of the Republic of Niger, Yusuf Muhammad, also known as Sallau, and Kabiru Muhammad, were sentenced by Justice Nuraddeen Muhammad Bello of High Court No. 23, Sokoto.
Delivering judgment in the case marked SS/45C/2026, Justice Bello held that the prosecution had successfully proved the charges of terrorism and arms proliferation against the defendants beyond a reasonable doubt.
