Sokoto government dismisses fears over Bello Turji’s alleged arms build-up

The Sokoto State Government has reassured residents that it is closely monitoring security developments across the state and has put measures in place to safeguard lives and property amid reports that notorious bandit leader Bello Turji has allegedly acquired sophisticated weapons and engaged mercenaries to train his fighters.
The Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Aliyu on Security Matters, Ahmed Usman, gave the assurance while responding to concerns raised by journalists over the reported activities of the bandit kingpin.
