Sokoto: Troops rescue 7 kidnapped farmers, recover motorcycles

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have rescued seven farmers abducted by suspected bandits during an attack on farming communities in Gandi, Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The successful rescue operation, carried out on Tuesday by troops of the 8 Division, Nigerian Army, deployed in the area, also led to the recovery of motorcycles reportedly belonging to the fleeing criminals.
A credible security source disclosed that the troops responded swiftly after receiving information about the attack in the Gandi axis.
