Solar Energy: FG to inject 60.82MW into national grid amid electricity supply challenges

The Federal Government is set to inject a cumulative total of 60.82 megawatts (MW) of solar-generated electricity into the country’s national grid amid power supply challenges.
This comes as the Federal Government on Wednesday commenced the construction of a 13.92 megawatt-peak, MWp interconnected hybrid solar mini-grid project in Yobe State.
Before the Yobe initiative, the government had already developed 46.9MW of power infrastructure across five other states.
DAILY POST reports that the Federal Government had earlier commissioned a 20MW mini-grid in Egume, Kogi State; an 11.9MWp project in Ogu-Bolo, Rivers State; and a 10MW installation in Kofare, Adamawa State.
