The South African Consulate General in Lagos has reassured Nigerian travellers, investors and tourism stakeholders that South Africa remains a safe and welcoming destination, following reports of cancelled or revised travel bookings linked to recent protests and alleged incidents involving foreign nationals in some parts of the country.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Consulate said it was concerned about disruptions to travel plans by Nigerians following reports of unrest in some South African cities.
