Iran on Sunday denied that it entered a new agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
This is in direct contradiction to United States President Donald Trump’s recent claims. Trump had, while saying he has canceled a planned strike, announced that the outlines of a deal had been reached.
But Iran Fars news agency refuted the claim.
“There is no agreement on reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
“As long as the United States continues its hostile actions, the strait will remain closed,” the agency quoted a senior Iranian military source as saying.
