Sunderland reject Chelsea’s £8m bid for Granit Xhaka

Chelsea have suffered an early setback in their pursuit of Granit Xhaka after Sunderland rejected an initial £8 million offer for the experienced midfielder, insisting their captain is not available for transfer at any price.
The Premier League newcomers reportedly dismissed the proposal as “insulting”, making it clear they have no intention of negotiating with Chelsea or any other club over the Switzerland international.
