Suspected Lakurawa terrorists block Mokwa–New Bussa Road in Niger State

The Mokwa–New Bussa Road in Niger State was on Monday blocked by suspected members of the Lakurawa terrorist group, causing confusion among residents, motorists and commuters in the affected area.
The terrorists, numbering in their hundreds, rode on motorcycles, barricaded the road around Zurgurma in Mashegu Local Government Area of the state, disrupted vehicular movement, and forced travellers to seek alternative routes.
Sources also confirmed that the armed group stormed Zurgurma and other adjoining communities, creating fear among residents and compelling many motorists to abandon the road over concerns for their safety.
