A court in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, has remanded a 22-year-old man, Habu Hellere Dauda, for allegedly robbing a nine-year-old boy of N600 at knife-point.
The Chief Magistrate Court 3, presided over by Uwani Danladi, ordered that Dauda, of Rumde Makera, Jimeta, be remanded in prison custody for allegedly robbing his nine-year-old victim, Aliyu Mohammed, of N600.
The defendant was arraigned before the court by the police prosecutor, Danjuma Hamidu, who told the court that Dauda attacked Aliyu Mohammed at Ajiya Street, Jimeta, on Sunday, August 9, and took the money from him.
When the First Information Report was interpreted to him, the defendant pleaded guilty to the offences....
