Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has joined colleagues in mourning the death of Alexx Ekubo, who passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, following a courageous battle with metastatic kidney cancer.  While expressing deep sadness over the 40-year-old actor's demise, Yul took to social media to reflect on the private nature of Alex's final days. He noted that Alex kept his ordeal hidden from colleagues and friends, failing to disclose his health issues.
