Three arrested over alleged fatal stabbing at naming ceremony in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the killing of a 27-year-old man following a violent clash at a naming ceremony in Kirfi Local Government Area of the state. The command’s spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
According to the statement, the incident occurred on June 25, 2026, when a confrontation broke out between youths from Dosi and Tudun Sullubawa communities during the celebration.
The police said the victim, identified as Sani Abacha Alhaji Jabbi, was allegedly attacked with a machete during the violence.
