TikTok has disclosed that it removed more than 12 million videos in Sub-Saharan Africa during the fourth quarter of 2025 as part of efforts to enforce its Community Guidelines and maintain a safe digital environment for users across the region.
The social media platform made this known in its Q4 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, which highlights its global content moderation efforts and commitment to online safety.
Speaking on the report, TikTok’s Communications Lead for Sub-Saharan Africa, Keagile Makgoba, said the company remained committed to transparency, safety and inclusivity in its operations.
