Tinubu approves N70,000 monthly transport allowance for Nigerian public workers as NLC deadline elapses

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a monthly transport support of N70,000 for public service workers across all levels, as the four-day deadline issued by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, to shut down the economy over the fuel price hike and minimum wage dispute ends on Tuesday, October 27. The resolution was reached after a meeting between the Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, and the leadership of the NLC, led by Joe Ajaero, on Tuesday.
