Troops kill 2 terrorists, rescue kidnap victim

Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have neutralised two terrorists, rescued a kidnapped victim, arrested eight suspected collaborators and recovered 110 rustled cattle during a series of coordinated operations across Kaduna and Zamfara states between June 27 and 28, 2026.
The Media Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, said that on June 27, troops of Sector 1, working with members of the Vigilante Group, encountered terrorists transporting kidnapped victims on motorcycles during a fighting patrol in Giwa and Kaduna North Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
