Troops kill two suspected ISWAP fighters in Borno ambush

Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, have killed two suspected terrorists during a night ambush in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security sources said the operation was carried out under Operation Desert Sanity/Siege Operations at about 11:05 pm on May 13, 2026, in Bazamri village, which is described as a major crossing route for ISWAP members.
According to Zagazola Makama, troops on ambush duty intercepted the suspects and engaged them in a gun battle, leading to the death of the two insurgents.
