Troops of the 34 Artillery Brigade operating under Operation UDO KA and through Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have uncovered a shallow grave and exhumed the remains of the late Chief Ibe Anyadu of Aggah Community in Imo State.
The Army said the recovery was made on Sunday, August 2, following the arrest of suspects linked to violent crimes in the area.
In a Monday statement signed by Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 82 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Olabisi Ayeni, the Army said one of the suspects arrested in recent intelligence-driven operations confessed to involvement in Anyadu’s killing and volunteered to lead troops to the burial site.
